Our Story
Twenty years ago, when Jump Start Sports was in its infancy, Bob Moyer enrolled his two youngest sons into Rick Hart’s youth sports programs in Hudson, OH. Bob, who grew up playing sports in the Cleveland area, immersed himself into the programs by volunteering to coach and focused on enriching the experience not just for his own kids, but all the children participating in the programs. As the seasons and years went on, Bob and Rick formed a great working relationship and a tremendous friendship. Their passion for providing the youth in their community with the opportunity to build confidence, learn teamwork, and experience sports in a safe environment, catapulted Jump Start Sports into one of the premier youth sports program platforms in Northeast Ohio.
The youth sports programs and camps the Moyers bring to the East Valley are built on providing every child the opportunity to experience sports in a fun, supportive team setting. Building self-confidence, learning sportsmanship, developing athletic fundamentals, and having FUN are the core values threaded throughout their programs and camps. Bob and Andy are committed to providing a safe, uplifting environment for your child(ren) to experience sports in a way that will translate into an appreciation of team work, inclusiveness, and a healthy lifestyle!
